24 May Dota 2: Mushi And Team SMG Part Ways
No word yet where the road leads for the Malaysian Dota 2 legend.
The Singaporean organization had adopted Mushi’s Team IO to form its Dota 2 squad and played online matches throughout 2021. Team SMG did not publish an explanation for Mushi’s release. However, they thanked the Malaysian for his contributions, wishing him the best of luck in his future endeavors.

Chai “Mushi” Yee Fung spent a difficult two years as a journeyman after leaving Mineski in 2018. Before that, he played for a long list of top teams bouncing between China and Southeast Asia and playing for organizations such as Geek Fam and Keen Gaming. Then in January 2021, the 30-year-old Malaysian landed under the sponsorship of the newly-formed Still Moving Under Gunfire or more commonly Team SMG, which was helmed by Singaporean singer JJ Lin.
Under Mushi’s leadership, the team competed in Season 2 of the SEA DPC’s Lower Division. Taking second place and winning $16,000 USD.
