CoD: CDL Atlanta (Stage 1; Week 1) – Day 2 Recap

Day two brought some more great games, here’s what went know.

Day two of the 2021 Call of Duty League season was just as good as the first. With two excellent matches once again, here’s everything that happened in Day two.

OpTic Chicago 3-0 Paris Legion

OpTic Chicago carried on their dominance from the Kickoff Classic with yet another 3-0 victory. Game one was a Raid Hardpoint and here the veterans in Scump and Formal showed their ability. Chicago outslayed massively with all players dropping a 1.42 K/D or above, putting them 1-0 up in the series.

The Search and Destroy started off well for Paris, taking a 3-0 lead. However, Formal showed up dropping 11 kills with a 1.83 K/D. Formal’s performance along with Envoy’s 2.00 K/D pushed OpTic to match point. Finally, OpTic took the Control 3-2 to win the series 3-0. While they were outslayed by 3 kills, OpTic clutched up to win 3-2 and take the series.

Atlanta FaZe 3-0 Los Angeles Guerrillas

FaZe kicked off their Home Series weekend with a strong 250-156 Hardpoint win against the Los Angeles Guerrillas. They outslayed by a massive 16 kills and took control of Crossroads with ease. Cellium was back to his best yet again, with 26 kills and a 1.44 K/D.

The Search and Destroy was a closer affair, however Arcitys stepped up dropping 13 kills and a 2.17 K/D to win the map 6-4. This wasn’t as convincing from FaZe, but against a good SnD team in the Guerrillas, they’ll be happy with the win. Control saw Atlanta FaZe return to the dominance of Map 1. aBeZy performed to the highest level, going 24-16 and securing FaZe the 3-1 win in Control, and 3-0 in the series.

The Call of Duty League continues tonight, with 3 more games to start off the season.
