CoD: Everything We Know About BOCW Mid-Season One Update

Tonight we receive the mid-season update for BOCW, here’s all the info you need.

Black Ops Cold War will be receiving its mid-season one update tonight. With new maps, modes and weapons coming to the game, here’s everything you need to know before you jump in tonight.

Multiplayer

Multiplayer fans will be receiving a brand new Fireteam map in the form of Sanatorium. Described as “a low-wooded hills area” that contains “land, sea and air vehicles”, Sanatorium looks to be an all terrain map. Rumors have speculated that Sanatorium will be at the center of the new Warzone map, so you’ll want to hop in and check it out.

The new Sanatorium map features a beach front area and jetty

Dropkick will also be coming to BOCW as a new Multiplayer mode. This 6v6 mode sees two teams battle it out for a nuclear briefcase. The side to score 200 points first wins.

Along with this new mode, Multiplayer fans will enjoy a weekend of Double Weapon XP starting at 1PM ET on January 15, and ending at the same time on January 19.

Finally, the Wakizashi Sword will be added to Black Ops Cold War. While some players already unlocked this weapon when it was glitch earlier last week, fans will finally be able to legitimately use it in Multiplayer.

Zombies

Zombies will be free to play from 1PM ET tonight for a whole week. This means that players who don’t own BOCW can jump into Zombies for the first time ever. Along with this, there will be a new Zombies mode called Cranked. This is a take on the Multiplayer mode, speeding up the pace of the Zombies experience. Playstation players will also receive a new Onslaught map.

Release Time

Black Ops Cold War’s Mid-Season One update will go live at 1PM ET (10AM PT). The file size is yet to be announced.
