The two parties did not disclose the financial aspect of the deal, however, Vexed did announce that Mock-it’s Europe-based Halo Infinite roster will continue to compete under the UK organisation’s in the future. Alongside its newly acquired Halo roster, Vexed Gaming fields teams in Rainbow Six: Siege, Wild Rift and VALORANT.

Sonny Waheed, CEO, Vexed Gaming, commented: “We are delighted to conclude this deal and secure a new strategic North American acquisition that will allow us to capitalise on the historic work done by the Mock-it team. We look forward to welcoming Mock-it’s fans and giving them many years of exciting gameplay under the Vexed banner. “

Mock-it Esports is perhaps most known for its Rocket League team that used to compete in the early days of the game. Mock-it’s European branch was notably one of the participants of RLCS’ inaugural season in 2016.

Mock-it is also a community-focused brand that organised a number of community events in the past. In addition to going into Halo, Waheed has also announced the return of community tournaments under the Vexed banner in the coming months.

Esports Insider says: Vexed Gaming made a good move by acquiring Mock-it. Both brands will benefit from this move, with Vexed securing a presence in the United States and Mock-it finding a new home for its Halo Roster. Mock-it has been laying low for a while now and the organisation’s new owners will need to work a lot to revitalise the former Mock-it community.
