The schedule has been revealed for the Overwatch Championship Series (OWCS) Stage 1 promotion/relegation for both EMEA and NA brackets, set to take place on April 13th, 2025.
The Overwatch 2 tournament will pit the bottom two teams from OWCS Stage 1 against the top two teams of FACEIT League (FIL) Master Division Season 4.

The news was revealed on X by the official Overwatch Esports account, set to begin on 10AM PT/ 1PM ET/ 7PM CEST. In the new 2025 esports format, the two winners from each region will qualify for OWCS Stage 2.
The OWCS Stage 1 promotion/relegation tournament will be broadcast live on both YouTube and Twitch, save for the first two matches of each regional bracket.

Team Vision is currently the favourite to win, following its previous win against Sakura Esports, another top-tier team from EMEA Stage 1.
Frost Tails Esports is also worth keeping an eye on, after defeating Quick Esports twice in the upper bracket finals and grand finals. We’ll have to wait and see if the team can pull off a hat-trick victory against Quick Esports.

Supernova could prove to be the dark horse of this tournament, following its standings in Master Season 4. Superova is entering the tournament after leaving FIL 15-0, and a map differential of +50. The competition may be more challenging, but the organisation might be able to see similar success this time around.
