Southeast Asian esport organisation BOOM Esports has reached a partnership agreement with hardware brand AMD.

AMD will provide hardware for Boom Esports’ Dota 2 and VALORANT teams as well as collaborate with the organisation on content. Moreover, Boom Esports players will participate in the AMD Gaming 2022 Campaign, which includes a number of challenges for players.

Founded in 2016, BOOM Esports is one of the oldest esports organisations in the SEA region. The company fields rosters across a multitude of games including Dota 2, VALORANT, PUBG Mobile and Wild Rift. BOOM Esports is perhaps most known for its Dota 2 team which won the Gamers Galaxy Dota 2 invitational earlier this year.

AMD joins a partnership roster that includes betting company Rivalry, Web3 company Yesports, and an Indonesian ISP CBN Fiber, as well as EMERGE Esports.

Peter Chambers, Managing Director, AMD Asia Pacific & Japan, commented: “By powering one of the region’s best-performing VALORANT and Dota 2 Teams with leading-edge AMD products and solutions, the partnership will demonstrate how technology has the incredible potential to elevate esports talent to new heights.”

ESI’s flagship conference is coming back to London in September. To buy a ticket or find out more, click here.

As a part of the partnership, BOOM Esports players will participate in upcoming AMD product launches and events in 2022 and 2023 all over Indonesia.

AMD is generally not a brand that makes a habit of securing esports partnerships. Aside from it’s Boom deal, 2022 has seen the company only partner with NACE Starleague in the United States and Skyesports for the Skyesports Champions Series in Southeast Asia.
