11 Mar FIGHT Esports partners with EA to provide Thai Apex Legends Global Series broadcasts
Electronic Arts has named Southeast Asian organisation FIGHT Esports as a broadcast partner of the ongoing second season of its Apex Legends Global Series (ALGS).
As a result, the organisation gained rights to broadcast ALGS Championship: Challenger Circuit tournaments for the APAC South region in the localised Thai language.

According to the release, the deal aims to bring together Apex Legends fans in Thailand.
Matthew Ho, Head of FIGHT Esports, spoke on the announcement in a release: “We are continually looking for ways to bring the gaming community together, wherever they are. We understand that digital-first and engaging content experiences across gaming and esports are essential to drive the growth of both the industry and its community, especially in today’s world where the pandemic has presented new challenges.
“For this reason, FIGHT Esports would never skip the opportunity to bring personalised gaming experience where every gamer and esports enthusiast can become part of the excitement.”
Established in 2019, FIGHT Esports is an esports entertainment platform that focuses on building an ecosystem for the gaming community, as well as supporting the development of the industry through tournaments and gaming content. The organisation has reportedly hosted over 80 tournaments in 7 Southeast Asian countries including Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand, Taiwan and the Philippines.
Last year, the organisation partnered with TikTok Southeast Asia to launch the TikTok Gaming Ground PH, an esports and gaming community on the platform

John Nelson, Commissioner for Apex Legends, commented: “We are excited to be working with FIGHT Esports in bringing localised Challenger Circuit broadcasts to ALGS fans.

Esports Insider says: FIGHT Esports has been invested in supporting esports in the Southeast Asian region, which also includes the launch of the collegiate initiative FIGHT Campus League last year. The partnership with EA seems to be another step in its efforts, which will likely help boost Apex Legends esports in the region.
