Esports-focused social media network Juked.gg has announced the official release of its social media mobile app for esports fans.

Juked originally launched in 2019 as a web platform for esports fans. Juked’s CEO and founder, Ben Goldhaber, pointed out that the idea behind the platform and app is to give esports fans a ‘one-stop shop’ for engaging with other fans and discussing esports titles such as VALORANT, League of Legends, and CS:GO.
As a 500 Startups portfolio company, the social media network is backed by former COO of Twitch Kevin Lin, former CMO of Discord Eros Resmini, as well as Mike and Amy Morhaime (Dreamhaven Co-founders; Blizzard Entertainment Co-founder & former CEO).
The Juked app currently features VALORANT, League of Legends, Halo, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Call of Duty, and Overwatch esports news, matches and discussion, with plans to expand to new games monthly moving forward.
Ben Goldhaber, CEO/Founder of Juked, commented: “Our decision to switch from being an esports viewing hub to focusing on community interaction was the result of feedback from our users and the broader esports scene.
“It was frequently shared how the primary platforms where esports conversations were happening, such as Twitter, Reddit, and Twitch Chat, were not ideal for facilitating deeper esports-related discussions, not to mention how having multiple destinations without a dedicated focus made following the industry a chore.”

The app also features a strong stance on toxic behaviour. The company partnered with nonprofit Queer Women of Esports last year and notes that a number of the social media platform’s features are designed to encourage positive social behaviour.
Esports Insider says: Juked is an interesting hub for esports fans that want to be non-toxic, inclusive and positive. The new app looks promising with features most esports fans want on their smartphone. It’ll be interesting to see how the community reacts to the launch.
