09 Feb GRID Esports and WePlay Esports extend data partnership
Esports tournament organiser WePlay Esports has extended its partnership with esports data platform GRID Esports.
As a result, the platform will continue to provide WePlay Esports with data security services. Moreover, the deal will focus on data management, distribution and monetisation.

The extension follows on from the two parties collaborating on broadcasts for Dota 2’s AniMajor held in Kyiv, Ukraine.
Moreover both entities also teamed up on Russian-speaking broadcasts of the 2021 CS:GO Major organised by PGL.

GRID Esports is no stranger to extending existing deals. Throughout 2022, the platform has consolidated its partnerships with tournament organisers Epic Esports Events and BLAST Premier.

Esports Insider says: Now in its third year, the partnership between GRID and WePlay Esports appears to benefit both parties. With plans to expand in 2022, it will be interesting to see how the tournament organiser utilises the data platform.
