British Esports Association partners with College of Esports

The British Esports Association has announced an ‘exclusive’ partnership with the College of Esports, a university-level institution dedicated to esports degrees.

As a result, the association will provide its industry expertise as part of the college’s foundation, undergraduate, and postgraduate courses. The courses will be held at its campus inside the Velodrome at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

All of the courses on offer will cover various parts of the industry, including player and talent management, marketing, and IP rights. The College of Esports will also provide students with a ‘business incubation unit’ to grow concepts into fully functioning esports businesses.

Professor Phili Wilson, Founder and Chair of the College of Esports, spoke on the partnership in a release: “We are delighted to have entered into this long-term exclusive higher education partnership. The knowledge, experience and expertise of the British Esports Association is a central pillar of our approach to ensure that the College of Esports is at the cutting edge of the industry for our students.”

The courses are set to commence in September 2022, coinciding with the beginning of the 2022/23 academic year. Moreover, the Velodrome will feature brand-new classrooms and state-of-the-art gaming spaces for students taking the courses.
