16 Oct Dota 2: Valve Teases Marci As The Game’s Next New Hero
Congrats, Marci fans, they heard your calls.
It’s a dream come true for Marci fans as Valve has teased a brief clip, hinting at her arrival this fall. The speculation of a new hero was surrounding Selemene, one of the goddesses of the Moon, but it looks like Valve made up their minds on releasing the fan-favorite.
Some loyalties transcend barriers. Unleash the dauntless strength of Marci this fall as she powers her way from DOTA: Dragon’s Blood to the battle of the Ancients in Dota 2.

While the Dota 2 community is busy with the game’s biggest tourney, Valve has dropped a big surprise. Marci will make her way into the game, available as a hero for both the game and anime fans.
Valve is yet to disclose any details about when they will release the new hero. The post says “This fall” which would most likely be during November or December. Fans are wondering about her voice lines as she was silent during the entire anime. Whether she will have voice lines is also a big question mark.
Dota: Dragon’s Blood debuted on March 25, 2021 and saw a decent response. Marci was one of the most liked characters of the anime, mostly perceived as a cute and gullible, yet highly skilled fighter. She was alongside Mirana, which means Marci will have a lore connected to the Princess of the Moon.
The new season is still in the works and Valve is yet to disclose any details about it.
