07 Oct Juked partners with Queer Women Of Esports
Social platform Juked.GG has partnered up with nonprofit Queer Women Of Esports to combat toxicity with its upcoming mobile app.
Juked has announced a detailed plan of action for its app that aims to combat toxic behaviour in a number of ways. The platform explained that its app plans to allow fans to discuss topics they care about in more depth, rather than facilitate surface-level chatter and hot takes.

According to the release, the new Juked app aims to ‘solve the problem of toxicity in esports with a more focused and safer social environment’. To fight against toxic behaviour, Juked will use a number of methods described in a plan of action.
These methods include comprehensive verification systems, as well as an invite system similar to the audio app Clubhouse. Other than those, the app will use the Keystone Code in its user content policy and code of conduct, as well as AnyKey’s definition of harassment and discrimination.
Queer Women of Esports will also have a say in the way the app functions. Juked announced that the nonprofit will advise on diversity, inclusion, and equity initiatives. The company also revealed that it has made a donation to QWE, and will continue to do so quarterly to support the organisation’s mission.
Gillian ‘Kendryx’ Langland, COO of Queer Women of Esports, stated: “Increasing diversity and inclusion in esports is core to our mission at Queer Women of Esports, so when Juked reached out we were excited to consult and as they build a more open, less toxic environment for esports discussion we were excited to get on board. This has been long overdue in the current landscape and we’re thrilled to be involved.”

Queer Women of Esports will be involved at the Esports Insider pop-up at Oxford Street, registrations are still open – and free!
Esports Insider says: Toxicity in online gaming is extreme, and any initiative that tries to solve it will have its work cut out for them. Juked has a great opportunity to create an ecosystem that will not allow for toxic behaviour, and its partnership with QWE is certainly a step in the right direction.
