A new weapon has entered the world of Fortnite Battle Royale ahead of the annual Fortnitemares Halloween event.
Epic Games deployed hotfix v18.10 early this morning with only one notable change. The long-rumored Dual Fiend Hunters crossbow is the newest addition to the game’s current loot pool. Considering the time of year, Epic Games has evidently started down the path of Fortnitemares—the game’s annual Halloween event. This fiend hunter weapon promises to dispatch Cube Monsters with relative ease, making them a worthy adversary when entering the Sideways.

Where to Find Dual Fiend Hunters
According to Epic’s blog post regarding this hotfix, players can find the Dual Fiend Hunters in Chests or on the ground as “floor loot.” This weapon is similar to the Fiend Hunter Crossbow from last Fortnitemares, but the fire rate is faster.
Whether the Dual Fiend Hunters will be effective against other real-life opponents remains to be seen. However, we know for sure that they’ll be helpful in the fight against Cube Monsters.
