10 Sep Team Flash partners with Hyperion Gear
Southeast Asian esports organisation Team Flash has announced a partnership with a Singapore-based gaming eyewear brand Hyperion Gear.
As a part of the deal, Hyperion Gear will sponsor Team Flash’s Singapore division and provide it with individually customised spectacles.

Lee Feng Yuan, Hyperion Gear CEO, spoke on the announcement: “Team Flash is one of the leading esports teams in Southeast Asia and we are pleased to work with the team and support the wellbeing of their athletes.
“As an avid gamer myself and using the experience gained from my career in the optical industry, Hyperion commits to further enhance our products through feedback from these elite athletes to ensure that we positively contribute to the growth of the esports scene in Singapore.”
The partnership deal takes effect immediately and will remain active until the end of 2021.
According to the release, the collaboration aims to establish Singapore’s status as a ‘hub for the rapidly growing esports industry’.
Team Flash CEO, Mark Chew, commented: “The wellbeing of our athletes has always been a top priority for us, so we are glad to be working together with Hyperion to improve the gaming experience of our boys and keep them at the top of their game.
“We also believe Hyperion has significant growth potential in Singapore, especially with the growing esports scene and are proud to be able to support them in developing even more products for gamers.” added.

Founded by a Singaporean optometrist in August 2021, Hyperion Gear claims to be dedicated to producing high-quality, blue light-reducing gaming glasses. The company is reportedly looking to broaden its product line by including models suitable for children and expanding into Malaysia, Vietnam and Thailand.
Esports Insider says: This partnership will surely help Hyperion Gear establish itself on the Southeast Asian market while promoting the idea of wearing protective eyewear while gaming. It will be interesting to see what will be the company’s next moves, as it’s aiming to contribute to the growth of the esports scene in Singapore.
