Epic Games released a blog post yesterday, detailing how players should prepare for Operation: Sky Fire. There are a lot of storyline implications buried in the information provided.
Here’s a snippet from the post:
“With the Mothership’s sights set on the Imagined Order’s secret base at Corny Complex, Slone has hatched a plan to end the Invasion once and for all. You’ve answered her calls, worked as an undercover agent for the IO – now it’s time to infiltrate The Last Reality and put a stop to the Alien’s occupation.
It’s time to commence: Operation: Sky Fire.”
Event details have not leaked yet, but Epic did provide helpful information ahead of the Season 7 conclusion.
Event Start Date, Times & Helpful Tidbits
The blog post indicates that Operation: Sky Fire will occur at 4 PM ET on Sunday, September 12. When queuing in, players will “join a strike team and sneak aboard the Mothership to deliver IO’s final message to the invading Aliens.”
Fortnite’s Operation: Sky Fire playlist goes live 30 minutes before the event, at which point players should load in to reserve their spot. As many as 16 players can enter the event per party, and it’s always wise to get in early. Otherwise, you may not have the chance to enjoy the event.
Epic also noted that content creators should record the event since replays will not be available once Operation: Sky Fire concludes. You can also “Save the Date” in-game, but that does not guarantee you a place in the event.
Enjoy Season 7 While it Lasts
A new season on the horizon means time is running out for Chapter 2 – Season 7. As usual, gold bars will not transfer to next season, so you’ll want to spend them all before September 12. Additionally, all Battle Pass unlockables, Superman quests and Alien Artifacts will expire on that day. Be sure to complete any outstanding tasks before the season ends.
