01 Sep Team Singularity expands Blocksport partnership to launch NFT series
Danish organisation Team Singularity has expanded its partnership with Swiss-based sportstech company Blocksport.
As a result of the expansion, the two entities will collaborate on developing an online platform where Team Singularity’s fans will be able to purchase the organisation’s NFT properties. This includes jerseys, videos, pictures and highlights.

Vladimir Liulka, CEO and Co-Founder of Blocksport, spoke on the announcement in a release: “The rise of digital ownership is a huge indicator of what the next stage of the evolution of gaming and esports fan engagement will look like.
“Following the lead of organisations like Singularity, we expect more and more esports brands to offer exclusive, collectable NFTs to their fans in order to provide them with a new way to engage with their favourite teams, but also to deliver unique digital experiences.”
According to the release, Team Singularity’s digital content will leverage features curated through Blocksports technical expertise, such as a digital wallet and tokens in the form of collectable cards, memorable merchandise and skins, amongst others.
Atle S. Stehouwer, Founder and CEO of Team Singularity, commented: “I’m very intrigued around the NFT market in general, and when our partners from Blocksport.io presented to me their state-of-the-art NFT marketplace then I was on board instantly.
“I believe in their vision in this space and I’m happy to have a partner that can help navigate Team Singularity and explore the new digital frontiers to create new revenue streams and synergies within our overall operation.”

Team Singularity originally partnered with Blocksport in April 2020 to launch its own branded mobile application designed to connect with the organisation’s fanbase. Last month, the organisation also announced a partnership with the Swedish esports platform Challengermode.
Esports Insider says: Team Singularity was one of the first organisations in Denmark to have its own engagement application, therefore it’s no surprise to see it being one of the first to join the latest trend of launching NFTs. It’ll be interesting to see if other organisations in the region opt to follow suit.
