ESTNN recaps the FNCS Season 7 Semi-Finals and Reboot Round.
Competitive Fortnite players worldwide endured a rigorous test in this weekend’s Fortnite Champion Series (FNCS) Semi-Finals and Reboot Round. No matter the region, it was crunch time for teams who failed to finish top three in one of the weekly qualifiers. Only nine teams in each region earned that privilege.
The 99 remaining trios based on Series Points were divided into three heats for the Semi-Finals to determine the rest of Season 7’s Finalists. What ensued shocked fans as many talented trios failed to cement their fate. All seven regions had their fair share of upsets, drama, heartache and glory. It was a mixed bag and lived up to everything Fortnite offers as a competitive Battle Royale.
The Reboot Round followed the Semi-Finals, wherein only the elusive Victory Royale could push a team into the finals. There’s a lot to break down, and today, ESTNN is here to recap the Semi-Finals and Reboot Round results as we prepare to crown seven more Axe of Champions holders next weekend.

MDS Folnet, Evenezy WingS and ssp karmy began the action for Europe, earning 187 points across six matches. That effort was more than enough for them to win Heat A and solidify their place in the Season 7 Finals. Other notable teams to qualify out of this Heat includes 7tor, elokratz and Raifla. Their respective trios were some of the favorites ahead of the Semi-Finals.

After missing the FNCS Finals last season, Umplify and Matsoe teamed with Adn in Season 7 and it worked magnificently. The three players managed 164 points in Heat B, which yielded them a deserved victory. Tournament favorites Floki, Clement and Decyptos found themselves in second on the heels of a 157-point performance.

Pinquk called his shot on Twitter and delivered on his promise to win this heat. He joined teammates nebs and mouz Stompy in collecting 167 points in Heat C. Others to qualify out of the final European session include Safik’s team, who earned 163 points and former Cash Cup Extra winners Merstach, TT9 Malibuca and Onyx shizo.

While TNG Okis, Ghost Blake and Liquid Scoped were penciled in as favorites to win NA East Heat A, no one expected the dominance that followed. These three players decimated the field to the tune of 247 points, 61 eliminations and two Victory Royales across six matches, putting them nearly 80 points ahead of second. In other news, Moon Cazz’s trio finished second, marking his tenth FNCS Finals appearance. DeRoller and TabzG also secured a top-six finish and will compete next weekend.

Heat number two saw another team break the 200-point threshold. The all TruNorth Gaming trio of Pgod, Peterbot and Tkay managed two Victory Royales and 53 eliminations en route to a 224-point day. They’ll be a team to watch in the NA East Finals. So too will 33 PaMstou, Athletix wCarey and Fatch. This all-Canadian team finished tenth in FNCS Season 6 and has played well all season. Everyone else who qualified out of Heat B is a notable trio.

Rounding out the NA East Semi-Finals was the team of FS Dukez, DL Justice and Userzfn, who became the third team on the day to surpass 200 points. This trio has improved immensely of late, and that has translated nicely into Fortnite tournaments. Dukez and company accumulated 223 points, a whopping three Victory Royales and 39 eliminations. FaZe Bizzle narrowly qualified in sixth place alongside TNG Eclipsae and Coop.

It should surprise no one that 100T Falconer, XTRA Reet and 33 Chris handily won Heat A for NA West. This trio is one of only a few that are truly elite in their region. Reet’s trio finished with 217 points and 44 eliminations. G2 Jelty also earned himself and his team a Season 7 Finals appearance after a 186-point effort in Heat A.

NA West’s final session saw rvn avail, ag natee and kube prevail with 164 points. Fortnite veteran Nova 4DRStorm finished in second alongside MSF KADENOX and TurtleTavern. This result marks 4DRStorm’s tenth finals appearance, making him one of his region’s most accomplished players. Part-time caster CLG Tocata qualified for the Season 7 Finals with a sixth-place finish in Heat C.
