28 Aug Dota 2: Dunoo Loses Battle With COVID-19
The SEA community lost one of their most iconic casters due to COVID-19.
COVID-19 continues to be one of the biggest problems in the world in 2021 after causing chaos in 2020. Despite vaccines and every other safety measure, many people die on a daily basis, and sadly, one of them was Aldrin “Dunoo” Pangan.
For those who don’t know, Dunoo is one of the most recognizable names in Southeast Asia’s Dota 2 esports scene. The Filipino caster was known for his never-ending passion and love for the Dota 2 community. In fact, he’s the person behind the famous voice line “Lakad matataaaaag! Normalin! Normalin” which occured while he was casting a game alongside Marlon “Lon” Marcelo.
For those unfamiliar, Boss Dunoo was half of the duo that gave us the lines that @OGesports and all of us love to spam – Lakad Matatag, Easiest Money of my Life, etc. He is an absolute icon and legend in the PH casting scene for his energy and creativity.

Dunoo’s Facebook page informed his fans on 5 August that the player has problems with the virus. A couple of days later, the caster was broadcasting, and people could see that he was wearing and oxygen mask and had problems breathing. Sadly, the SEA star was unable to win the battle against the virus.
Truly devastated to hear about @iamdunoo passing from covid. A Filipino casting legend and also a genuinely kind, amazing friend over the years. Welcomed me to Manila every time I visited like a brother. Just sadness. Sending my love to your family.
You’ll be missed Boss Dunoo.

Aldrin Paulo Dunoo Pangan carried us to 2 Aegis and kept our mental high during every game we played.
Rest in peace, legend.
