19 Aug Call of Duty: Vanguard To Feature 20 Multiplayer Maps At Launch
Vanguard will feature the most maps at launch in over 10 years.
Multiplayer is the biggest part of any new Call of Duty launch. With the largest player base, the Multiplayer experience has to be just right, but what really makes a game’s multiplayer is the maps. For both casual and competitive players, maps can make or break a game.
Call of Duty: Vanguard has taken this into account, providing us with 20 Multiplayer maps at launch. Sixteen 6v6 maps will be joined by four Champion Hill maps, showing Sledgehammer’s intent to focus on Multiplayer even with the meteoric rise of Warzone.
Sledgehammer has made it clear that Multiplayer is a big focus of Vanguard, and these sixteen 6v6 maps will take place all over the world in multiple different settings. The remaining four maps will be for Champion Hill, a “gunfight style mode” that sees Solo’s, Duos or Trios go head to head.
More information on Vanguard’s maps will be revealed ahead of the open beta in a few weeks.
