Prior to joining ORDER, Rush gained experience at apparel brand Quiksilver as the firm’s Global Creative Director. In his role, he was responsible for leading the brand’s product and marketing direction from France. Rush joined Quiksilver in 2004 initially as a Designer and stayed with the brand for 12 years.
After returning to Australia, Rush completed an Executive MBA and co-founded his own independent surf label GASH, which he will continue to oversee.
The newly appointed Chief Brand Officer commented: “I’m super excited to join the crew at ORDER. Having been part of the original brand direction, this is a really unique opportunity to revisit where we’re at amongst a rapidly changing gaming and entertainment landscape, and be part of something that I truly believe in.”
Earlier in 2021, ORDER announced the hiring of Ryan ‘Lewart’ Nejmanowksi, formerly of Team Liquid, as its Chief Development Officer. Around the same time, Billy Davis, a Melbourne-based R&B and neo-soul artist, also joined the team as a Creative Ambassador.

Marc Edwards, CEO of ORDER, also spoke about the appointment: “The whole org is really energised around Josh’s extensive experience across pop culture and youthful brands, and the impact he will have as we evolve and breathe new creativity into everything we do.
“Our industry is as much about winning, as it is turning the serious meter down, tapping out and having fun, and Josh embodies this mantra. Further to Josh’s appointment, we are continuing to look for key creatives across content production and digital marketing to level up the creative output, and expand the org’s digital content and entertainment footprint.”
Esports Insider says: Josh Rush’s appointment as Chief Brand Officer has brought a breath of fresh air to ORDER’s growing stable of creative talent. Rush’s previous involvement in diverse youth-oriented projects should benefit ORDER, as the organisation further embodies these components into its brand.
