The final Major of the 2021 Call of Duty League season has been the best of the year. An unbelievable reverse sweep from Minnesota ROKKR saw them take home the Major 5 win.
ROKKR Reverse Sweeps
After an incredible start to Major 5, Minnesota ROKKR saw themselves facing off against Toronto Ultra in the Grand Finals. Coming hot off a match against OpTic Chicago, Ultra got off to an incredible start. Map One saw Ultra secure a 250-34 victory, before a 6-1 Map Two and 3-1 Map Three saw them go 3-0 up in the series.
Another Hardpoint win saw Toronto Ultra just one map away from the Major 5 win, and a complete sweep. However, a dominant 6-3 Miami SnD win from Minnesota ROKKR turned the tides of the series and led to an incredible comeback.
A 3-1 Garrison Control win followed the Miami, before another Search and Destroy victory resulted in a 4-3 scoreline, and a lot of belief for ROKKR. While ROKKR’s vibes were high, Toronto seemed to be destroyed. A 250-165 Apocalypse Hardpoint tied the series, before a 6-3 Raid SnD completed the series, and saw ROKKR complete Call of Duty history.
