30 Jun NBK Makes The Switch From CS:GO To Valorant
Yet another top-tier Counter-Strike player leaves for Riot’s title.
Today, OG announced Nathan “NBK-“ Schmitt’s switch to Valorant as the professional leaves the team for a new adventure in his career.
I’ve tried to answer everyone and I’m really overwhelmed by all the positive support from everyone in and out of the CS scene.
I’m going to bed really tired but also sincerely happy about it all, see you tomorrow for some more Valorant on stream👋

NBK, or NBKing as some people call him, has left with a glittering CS:GO career. Starting his professional journey as a 15-year-old for Team VeryGames, NBK never looked back and was one of the best players at the very top of the Counter-Strike scene.
The two-time major champion has played for popular teams like Team LDLC, Team EnVyUs, G2 Esports, Team Vitality and, of course, OG. He was the founding member of LDLC, a team that won DreamHack Winter 2014 under his reign. The 27-year-old found outstanding success with Team EnVyUs too, winning the DreamHack Cluj-Napoca 2015.

NBK dropped a brief video talking about his switch to Riot’s booming title Valorant. He explained how Counter-Strike gave him everything, but it is time for a change and that it is his moment to dominate on a different battlefield.
Valorant may not be the same as Counter-Strike but is serving as a great substitute platform for professional players. Valve has been active in bringing new updates to change the game for the better, but it will be interesting to see how Counter-Strike stands alongside Valorant in the future.
