12 May Dota 2: Valve Confirms The International 10 Dates
It is time the teams gear up to fight for the Aegis.
Valve has confirmed that The International 10 will take place after a year-long postponement because of the global pandemic. The event will take place this August in Stockholm, Sweden as mentioned in a recent blog post.
Originally scheduled to take place in Stockholm, Sweden in August 2020, Valve postponed TI10 to everyone’s disappointment because of the ongoing pandemic. However, they had released the Battle Pass for the event, which would contribute to the prize pool of the tournament.

According to the blog post, The International 10 group stage will start from August 5 to 8 this year. The main event will kick off on August 10 and will stretch until August 15. The teams will fight each other to claim the lion’s share of the $40,018,195 prize pool.
Valve has also explained the challenging scenario created by the ongoing global pandemic and that their focus will remain to deliver a high-quality tournament in the safest way possible. The company will release more information about attendance options in the event as we head closer towards it.
Future events
Valve had mentioned in their previous blogs that they’re now focusing on spreading game content throughout the calendar year rather than dumping everything during The International Battle Pass period. Following what they promised, the company will ship two discrete events in the upcoming months. The first event will arrive mid-to-late June and the second event will start after The International concludes.
The developers have also added new Supporters Clubs to the game, which you can learn more about here.
