Fortnite Chapter 2 – Season 6 is heating up.
Epic Games announced today that the first-ever Wild Week is in full effect. This in-game event focuses on a particular gameplay element in Fortnite Battle Royale that stands out amongst the many unique features. The event will alternate gameplay elements for the next four weeks until it concludes in early June. That should segue nicely into Chapter 2 – Season 7. Fighting Fire with Fire & Weeks Beyond
Week one emphasizes fire, which has become a standout visual in Fortnite. Today May 6, the Season 6 loot pool has seen an uptick in Flame Bows and Fireflies. Additionally, Epic Games has added the Flare Gun back in Season 6 after it went into the vault to end Chapter 2 – Season 3. Learn more about where to locate and purchase the returning weapon here.
Fire is just the first of several themed weeks. The fire portion lasts from May 6 to May 13. Epic’s Wild Weeks blog post explained that all subsequent events would begin on May 13, May 20 and June 3. Each will last a week before switching over to another gameplay element. That’s all that we know so far about this surprise influx of unique gameplay dynamics. It should be fun for anyone looking for a bit of variety in casual Fortnite matches.
