According to the release, the cash card will cost $5, with $1 of every card purchased being donated to charity organisation Gamers Outreach.

“Cash App has been a longtime partner of 100 Thieves, and we’re excited about this latest collaboration,” commented Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag, Founder & CEO of 100 Thieves. “The 100 Thieves Cash Card is a great way for our fans to get their hands on a really cool 100 Thieves keepsake, designed by the team.”

100 Thieves’ card is also expected to include ‘exclusive boost incentives’ tied to the product, which will be announced at a later date. Customers who already have a cash card can switch to the 100 Thieves design for a $5 change fee.

Cash App first partnered with 100 Thieves back in May 2019 and has collaborated with the organisation ever since, most notably being the title sponsor for the Cash App Compound.

Catherine Ferdon, Head of Marketing and Brand at Cash App, added: “At Cash App, we’ve long been believers in the esports community, and it was clear to us early on that 100 Thieves was a true innovator in the space.

“Their creativity and willingness to invent with us is what continues to make this such a groundbreaking partnership. The introduction of our latest Cash Card offers anyone the ability to sport their brand while also supporting a worthy cause in Gamers Outreach.”

Esports Insider says: Esports organisations are continually looking for new opportunities to create different activations. 100 Thieves’ cash card not only strengthens its existing relationship with Cash App, but it opens up the possibility to integrate fan engagement opportunities to its cash card users.
