Sports and esports event, television and content production agency ASA Entertainment has unveiled its 2021 plans for the Super Girl Gamer Series, the firm’s female-driven multi-title esports tournament.
Some of the changes mentioned in the announcement include expanding to seasonal weekly tournaments, which will be scheduled throughout May to November, and the introduction of VALORANT to the series.

Alongside VALORANT, the series features seasonal tournaments in League of Legends, Hearthstone, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) and Fortnite, with top female pros and amateurs competing for $100,000 (~£71,590) in cash and prizes.
The Super Girl Gamer Spring Season is expected to commence on May 15th with an all-women’s VALORANT tournament. This consists of a four-week open qualifier series and concludes with the Super Girl Gamer VALORANT Championships on June 19th.
Speaking to Esports Insider, ASA Entertainment confirmed that Super Girl Gamer’s Summer Season will consist of Hearthstone, League of Legends and CS:GO tournaments. Meanwhile, the series’ fall edition will return back to VALORANT, alongside Fortnite.
“This is a really important series for women, and I am so happy to be a part of it,” said Emmalee ‘EMUHLEET’ Garrido, the captain of Dignitas’ women’s CS:GO and VALORANT teams.
“It’s such a great step for Super Girl Gamer to expand its reach to women throughout North America via the seasonal tournament series that will run for seven months. Most people recognise how critical it is to create meaningful opportunities for women, and it’s been gratifying to watch the progress Super Girl has made over the past five years.”

Alongside announcing its expansion plans, Super Girl Gamer also revealed some of the sponsors taking part in the event. These include Nissan, Zenni Gaming, Twitch, GameStop, the US Marines, Space Productions, and Facebook Gaming. Moreover, ASA Entertainment also confirmed to ESI that the series will be run through Swedish tournament platform Challengermode.
“We are exceptionally grateful to have such a committed group of brand partners who are zealous about creating more diversity and inclusion in gaming,” said Rick Bratman, CEO of ASA Entertainment and producer of the Super Girl Gamer series. “These companies understand that only through our collective voice can we change the culture and eliminate the toxicity that prevents women from more actively participating in the esports community.”
The entirety of the Super Girl Gamer Series will be streamed live on Twitch and Facebook Gaming, with the VALORANT Qualifiers running weekly on Saturdays from May 15th – June 5th between 3pm – 10pm EST (8pm – 3am BST).
Esports Insider says: It’s great to see female-driven events continue to expand and develop. The addition of VALORANT to Super Girl Gamer’s list of titles is a smart decision, especially given Riot Games’ emphasis on developing a strong female ecosystem for the title.
