12 Apr DreamHack Online Open Ft. Fortnite April Edition – How To Register, Format, Dates, Prize Pool & More
DreamHack returns to competitive Fortnite Battle Royale.
The Swedish production company known as DreamHack provided some of the best Fortnite competitions beginning July of 2020 until January 2021. In a time where offline tournaments were not possible, the DreamHack Open featuring Fortnite provided a nearly $2M USD prize pool spread across the game’s three most significant regions and seven consecutive months. Several players in Europe, NA East and NA West, achieved their first major tournament win. DreamHack stepped away after the January edition concluded, and many were left wondering if these well-orchestrated events would return.

On April 1, the DreamHack team announced their return to Fortnite with the Cash Cup Extra – a tournament offered to high-placing Trio Cash Cup teams. While this revelation incited a positive response, the scene wanted more. Today, DreamHack declared the Online Open’s return, where duos in NA East and Europe have the opportunity to compete for a substantial prize pool and Hall of Fame seating.

DreamHack Open ft. Fortnite Format & Schedule
DreamHack returns to form with the fan-favorite duos format. Some may recall that the company changed the tournament structure from solos to duos after a few months based on community feedback. This resurgence marks the end of NA West-specific competitions. Instead, Europe and NA East are the two focal points for April’s festivities. Almost everything else about the DreamHack Open remains the same.
