BLAST Premier secures eight media rights deals

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) esports tournament series BLAST Premier has announced it has secured eight new media rights deals for its 2021 season.

The deals include television channels SportsMax and Nordic Entertainment Group which will see the tournament broadcast in a number of regions, including Canada, India, and Lithuania.

According to a release, the eight new partnerships will expand BLAST’s portfolio of media rights to over 35 partners, along with BLAST Premier being shown in over 150 territories and 18 languages.

Alexander Lewin, Vice President of Distrubution and Programming at BLAST, spoke on the deals: “We are thrilled to see so many new partners join the BLAST network of leading TV and online channels. These deals will offer even more fans the opportunity to tune in to watch BLAST Premier from around the world, which is now accessible in over 150 territories and 18 languages. We expect to continue our path of expansion during an exciting period of viewership growth at BLAST Premier and in esports.”

2021 has already been an impressive year of growth and expansion for BLAST Premier. The tournament series has appointed Andrew Haworth as Commissioner, expanded existing deals with CS.MONEY and audio device company EPOS, and has secured new deals with the likes of L33T Gaming and gaming supplement firm MADMONQ.

Esports Insider says: BLAST Premier has quickly become one of the largest CS:GO tournament series in the world, so it’s no surprise to see the organiser securing new broadcast deals to further expand its reach.
