29 Mar Soniqs Named PUBG Global Invitational.S 2021 Champions
After an eight-week roller coaster ride of PGI.S, Soniqs have their hands on the most prized event in PUBGβs history.
Soniqs are winners of PUBG Global Invitational.S of the NA region. The team collected 90 points in the sixth and final week of the tournament to claim the top spot. The eight-week event held in South Korea started on February 6 and went on until March 28, 2021.
They were first in the Rank Decision, the first team to secure a Weekly Survival match, and now from the NA region…

In an interview hwinn of Soniqs said, β[It feels like weβre] on top of the world.β He added, βWe appreciate all of our amazing fans and supporters across the world. But especially those who doubted us – you all just made us want to win that much more.β
PGI.S was one of the biggest esports events, considering it had a prize pool of over $7 Million. Soniqs won more than $1.29 million during the event’s duration.
KRAFTON CEO, CH Kim said βThe event was meaningful for us as we put our hearts into the challenge and managed to host an esports event, which seemed impossible amid the uncertainties due to the COVID pandemic,β he added, βI would like to express my gratitude to fans who showed their interest in PGI.S and players who showed the true essence of survival through the intense and fierce competition throughout the eight-week period.β
PGI.S hosted 32 teams from eight different regions. Two months of tough competition concluded with an exciting final, where many teams were in contention of winning the event.
