Fortnite: How To Tame Wild Creatures In Season 6

We take a look at a potent way to tame boars and other wild creatures in Fortnite Season 6: Primal.

Fortnite Season 6: Primal took fans by surprise when the game moved its timeline back to the ancient ages, where hunting was the dominant way of surviving. This season’s theme perfectly matches the battle royale genre as survival is the common instinct in every player. While the weapons received a wild makeover giving players new options, many wild creatures also made their way into the game.

These creatures include the likes of wolves, boars, chickens and even frogs! These creatures don’t have specific spawn locations and they can be found anywhere on the map. Players cannot pet them, but they can tame some of them to make them companions on the battlefield.

The ferocious wolves are easy to tame. Players need to kill a chicken or any other creature and collect the meat. After that, players can go near the wolf and feed the meat to them. Then they have a brief window to press their interaction key and tame the wolf. The wolf, after being successfully tamed, can attack other enemies and even wolves. Players cannot eliminate the creature after taming them.

Fortnite’s newest epic quest requires players to tame boars and it is a tricky endeavor. Players need to craft a certain item as feeding them meat doesn’t seem to work. Players need to craft Hunter’s cloak, which takes two animal bones and one meat. This item helps players to avoid a creature’s attacks and throws them off their scent. Once done, rush over to the boars and box them up. Boars do break wooden walls; therefore, start the taming process as soon as you can. After that, the boar should appear a bit reddish and it should indicate that you have successfully tamed it.

As of now, players cannot tame chickens and frogs. However, after killing them, players should gain valuable resources, which they could use for crafting weapons.

Leaks have also suggested a possibility of Raptors and Dinosaurs coming to the game. Fortnite usually hides hidden easter eggs, which showcase a connection to the upcoming content. The eggs and Dino scriptures on the map currently could be hinting at future creatures coming to the game.
