20 Mar Fortnite: Chipotle Challenger Series Returns With $250K Prize Pool
The Chipotle Challenger Series is back.
The popular fast-casual food chain Chipotle has returned to the competitive Fortnite scene with another Challenger Series installment. The franchise hosted two $50K USD competitions back in the fall of 2020, where the top three teams in each collected prize money and free burritos for one year. After a brief hiatus, Chipotle is back in Fortnite with a $250K prize pool spread across a spring, summer, fall and winter tournament this year. Each season features a round of qualifiers for eligible teams to participate. Chipotle is also handing a year’s supply of free burritos to the top Grand Final finishers.

Chipotle Challenger Series Format
Unlike the last two Chipotle events, this will be a duos tournament, meaning only teams of two are eligible to compete. Ten pairs from each qualifier will advance to the Grand Finals on March 30, where they’ll compete against ten invited teams. The qualifier format is not a traditional custom-match Fortnite tournament. Here’s is the format breakdown:
- Two-hour session
- Fortnite Duos matchmaking playlist
- Kill-race tournament
- Teams must submit their three best scores in one clear and visible screenshot for verification
