TNC Predator VP For Operations Takes New Role As Performance Coach

Jim Paulo Sy will be TNC Predator’s new non-Dota 2 Performance Coach.

Jim Paulo Sy was a former manager for the team and took on the position of Vice-President for Operations of the Southeast Asian multi-gaming organization from the Philippines in 2018.

But on March 17, Jim Paulo Sy accepted Timothy John “Tims” Randrup’s offer to act as the team’s performance coach. In that role, Jim Paulo Sy will be focusing on non-Dota 2 aspects. He will also be taking part in the team’s rebuilding after Febby and kpii left the squad.

TNC had recently taken on Jun “Bok” Kanehara and Marvin “Boombacs” Rushton to complete their all-Filipino roster for the SEA 2021 DPC Season 2: Upper Division which begins on April 13, 2021.

Jim Paulo Sy stated that he was pleased with this more direct role with the team after “three years of supporting the team on the sidelines and handling the company’s business-related matters.”

Although he had already set up different plans for 2021, Jim Paulo Sy welcomed the surprise offer. He further intimated that he had always had a feel for a coaching role. “Teaching and coaching is something that’s very close to my heart. I have always thought that this is something which I want to do long-term.”
