Toronto Ultra renews SCUF Gaming partnership ahead of home series

Call of Duty League franchise Toronto Ultra has renewed its partnership with peripherals manufacturer SCUF Gaming.

As a result of the agreement, both entities will collaborate on a range of fan engagement opportunities and a new content series titled the ‘SCUF Challenge Series with Toronto Ultra’. Details surrounding the content series have yet to be disclosed.

Other activations planned include SCUF giveaways during the Toronto Ultra Home Series commencing on March 18th and social media game-day integration via ‘Play of the Game presented by SCUF’ segments.

The partnership renewal will also see SCUF become the exclusive official controller of Toronto Ultra.

OverActive Media, the partner company of Toronto Ultra, will integrate SCUF’s products into its headquarters. In addition, the team’s players will also receive product support from the peripherals firm.

“Our players spend a significant amount of time practising and competing as they remain focused on winning,” added Tyler Keenan, OverActive Media’s VP of Global Partnerships. “SCUF understands this commitment which is why we are thrilled to expand our unique partnership together.”

The renewal follows on from SCUF’s partnership with European organisation Team Vitality earlier this month. Moreover, OverActive Media recently announced in February that it plans to build a 7,000-seat esports and entertainment venue which will become the new home for Toronto Ultra and its Overwatch League franchise, Toronto Defiant. 


Esports Insider says: Announcing SCUF’s renewal ahead of Toronto Ultra’s home series is a smart decision due to the increased exposure the team is likely to gain. In addition, the activations scheduled throughout the series will increase fan engagement, which in turn could drive more interest.
