Said to reduce digital eye strain, GUNNAR has collaborated with a variety of companies and organisations in the industry, including tournament organiser ESL, peripherals company Razer, and video game developer Ubisoft.
Georgina Petrie, Marketing Director at GUNNAR Optiks, spoke on the deal in a release: “Our collaboration with Oxygen Esports made complete sense, particularly because of our licensing partnership with Ubisoft which includes the [Rainbow] Six: Siege franchise, and the fact that Oxygen Esports has a world-class roster; currently one of the top-performing teams in the NAL.
“Not only is Oxygen Esports on the rise as an emerging force on the world stage of competitive esports, but its management team and players share our beliefs about the importance of educating gamers of all ages, from all walks of life, about the importance of taking care of their vision as screen time increases across the globe.”

Oxygen Esports currently fields rosters across a range of titles, including Rainbow Six: Siege, VALORANT, Fortnite, and Rocket League.
Adam Morrison, General Manager and Co-founder of Oxygen Esports, also commented: “We are thrilled to be working with the number one gaming-glasses brand in the industry and look forward to building a long-standing relationship with GUNNAR. As a management team, we understand the importance of a healthy visual system being an integral part of the overall health and well-being of our players. The number of hours spent practicing and competing each day in front of a screen can put strain on our players’ eyes. Wearing GUNNAR glasses helps our players take care of themselves physically while enhancing their performance in-game.
Esports Insider says: GUNNAR Optiks has become a household name in esports with its glasses that many people use to reduce eye strain when looking at screens. For Oxygen Esports, it’s another impressive addition to its roster of partners but it will be interesting to see how activations organised between the two parties will stand out from others.
