08 Mar CS:GO: oSee Topscores In Extra Salt Win Over High Coast To Qualify For DreamHack Masters Spring
Josh “oSee” Ohm scored 74-44 to help Extra Salt bag the closed qualifier to the DreamHack Masters Spring.
Extra Salt came out victorious in the North American Division Closed Qualifier of DreamHack Masters Spring 2021. VOYVODA, Complexity Gaming and Heroic had earlier won spots through the European qualifiers. Team Spirit and paiN Gaming will also be in the tournament by virtue of winning the DreamHack Open 2021. DreamHack will soon be announcing the rest of the teams teams that will be invited to the tournament.
The 21-year old oSee prevented the repeated attempts of High Coast’s members to enter bomb sites and ended the match with a +30 Kill-Death ratio. Extra Salt lost the first map but later dominated High Coast in Train and also in the deciding Overpass map.
This final match was preceded by Extra Salt’s 2-1 win over Triumph and 2-0 domination over Bad News Bears.
High Coast reached the Final by battling through the Lower Bracket. Former Extra Salt player Ian “motm” Hardy had intended revenge over his former team as he tried to lead High Coast to victory, but the only other teammate who could manage a low positive score was Rodrigo “RCF” Figueiredo. RCF and Josh “PwnAlone” Pique had led High Coast to the first map win over Extra Salt.
