08 Mar CoD: Simp Awarded Stage 1 Player Of The Stage
Simp continues his MVP caliber form, winning Player of the Stage for Stage 1.
Stage 1 of the 2021 Call of Duty League season has provided some excellent games. However, one name has been in the mouths of every CDL fan, FaZe. Currently undefeated, Atlanta FaZe are without a doubt the best team in the game, and deservedly won the first Major of the year. With so many matches and $200K for the winner, the CDL have also introduced the Player of the Stage. Chris “Simp” Lehr took home the award for Stage 1, here’s why.
Simp’s Stage 1
In terms of stats, Simp is one of the best. He sees himself in the Top 10 for Hardpoint K/D (5th), Search and Destroy (1st), and Control K/D (2nd) while also topping the Overall K/D with a massive 1.22.
Ever since he burst onto the scene in Black Ops 4, Simp has been known as an extremely fast paced SMG player. He hasn’t slowed down at all, and his aggressive, but also smart plays see him dominate in Stage 1. While Simp is usually on the Sniper in Search and Destroy, the removal of them hasn’t hindered him one bit, topping the SnD K/D charts with a 1.65, a massive 0.28 above Owakening in 2nd.
Simp is without a doubt one of the best players in the game. However, this award could’ve gone to any of the FaZe roster. Their undefeated 8-0 run is exceptional, and FaZe will be a tough team to beat in Stage 2.
