The 22 year-old managed to wow the organization while he was substituting for Ian “motm” Hardy at the E-Sports Entertainment Association (ESEA) Premier Season 36. MarKE assisted the team in remaining unbeaten in all 5 matches at the ESEA Premier Season 36. Extra Salt now move on to play in the next round of ESEA in April.
Up until this point the Mexican player had been a free agent since the dissolution of Chaos Esports Club (EC). Since his time with Chaos EC, MarKE is familiar with playing in North America making him a strong addition to this new team.
Prior to this announcement, Extra Salt were scheduled to compete with Triumph in the North American leg qualifiers for DreamHack Masters Spring. Bad News Bears and High Coast will also be competing at these qualifiers and taking their shot at the $250,000 prize. This could be particularly interesting since Jonathan “Jonji” Carey, who now plays for Bad News Bears, was also a former member of Chaos EC.
Extra Salt’s Final Roster
- Johnny “JT” Theodosiou
- Aran “Sonic” Groesbeek
- Joshua “oSee” Ohm
- Justin “FaNg” Coakley
- Edgar “MarKE” Maldonado
- Tiaan “T.c” Coertzen (coach)
