CoD: Legion Upset; New York & Minnesota Dominate – CDL Super Week Day 2 Recap

The CDL Super Week action continued with three more matches, here’s everything that went down.

Last night’s CDL Super Week matches provided the action we all know and love, with three more matches. Here’s everything that happened, and some important stats to note.

Paris Legion 3-0 Florida Mutineers

Paris Legion took a 222-220 map one victory. This is the first match to come down to the game clock this season, and saw Paris step out of the point to run the clock down. This was an extremely bold play from Paris, however it worked in their favor. Aqua dropped a massive 38 kills playing exceptionally with the AR, and giving Paris a 1-0 lead in the series.

Legion’s momentum continued into map two where they took a 6-4 victory to take a 2-0 series lead. While Paris played very well to take this map, it was more down to Florida’s mistakes, seeing them throw multiple man advantages. Florida were 7-2 in first bloods, showing that their failure to hold numbers resulted in them losing the map.

Paris Legion completed a swift 3-0 with a 3-1 Control victory. Classic dominated, going 32/22 on his birthday, showing that this Paris Legion team can compete, and shocking everyone tonight.

New York Subliners 3-0 London Royal Ravens

New York Subliners took a 250-141 victory to win their first map of the 2021 Call of Duty League season. Seany tried to pull London through, going 30/21, however a big 32 kills from Clayster saw NYSL go 1-0 up in the series.

An incredible 13/1 from Asim saw the Subliners take a 2-0 lead in the series with a dominant 6-1 SnD win. This was a clinical performance from NYSL, and could’ve been a 6-0 if it wasn’t for a heads up defuse play from Seany in round one. New York completed a quick 3-0 in a 3-0 Checkmate Control win. This was an exceptional display from New York, and its puts London 0-2 in the group with Dallas, LA Thieves and Minnesota still to play.

Minnesota Rokkr vs Seattle Surge

Minnesota Rokkr took a dominant 250-163 map one victory. It was a great all round performance from the team that saw them hold p4 and 5 perfectly throughout the map, taking a 1-0 series lead. While the Search and Destroy went the distance, Minnesota kept their record intact by clutching up at the end to go 2-0 up in the series.

Rokkr took a 2-0 lead in the Control, however Seattle brought it back to a round 5. It looked great for Seattle with just seconds left, however Minnesota flew in and took the point, winning the series 3-0.
