ASTRO Gaming & Andbox Announce New Partnership And NYSL Power Players Event

ASTRO will partner with all three Andbox rosters in this new multi-year partnership

Today, Andbox announced a new multi-year partnership with audio giants, ASTRO Gaming. This partnership sees ASTRO become the official audio partner of the New York Subliners, New York Excelsior and Andbox, their Valorant team. Fans will be able to look forward to co-branded products and ASTRO A40 Speaker Tags in the future. However, this partnership brings something more than just headphones.

NYSL Power Players

This new partnership brings the NYSL Power Players. Kai Mathey, Head of Partnerships at Andbox said, “Esports fans will immediately feel the impact of this partnership as we introduce the NYSL Power Players, an amateur competition that we built from the ground-up together with ASTRO and Beyond Entertainment.”

NYSL Power Players is a free-to-enter, 4v4 ladder that gives players the chance to earn cash, prizes, and a spot on NYSL’s Challengers Team. This tournament will begin with the $25K Proving Grounds. Season 1 & 2 of the Proving Grounds will have a combined playoff that will take place on broadcast before the Subliners Home Series. There, teams will battle to win ASTRO gear and NYSL merch, along with their share of the $25K Prize Pool.

The winners of the Proving Grounds will be given a chance to scrim against the NYSL Academy Team. But that’s not all. They will also be given a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. The winning team will be awarded with a bespoke championship jacket to commemorate their win a VIP trip to the CDL Championship, and an official tryout for the NYSL Academy team.

We don’t have an official start date on the competition yet, however, we know that it will conclude on July 8, the first day of the NYSL Home Series.
