05 Feb CoD: BOCW Movement Seemingly Changed In Recent Update
The recent BOCW update seems to have changed movement in the opinion of the pros.
Black Ops Cold War’s Feb 4th update brought many new things. Zombies fans received a new map in Firebase Z. Multiplayer fans received some nostalgia in the form of a remake of Black Ops 2’s Express. Along with the announcement of League Plays release date this update brought a lot — but it didn’t mention any movement updates.
However, the Call of Duty League Pros seem to have noticed a change in movement since the update. In a discussion on Twitter, Dallas Empire’s Indervir “iLLeY” Dhaliwal explained; “every time you jump you get stuck in mud”. Also adding that “the slide feels faster”.
wait they changed the whole movement system

While this wasn’t mentioned in the patch notes at all, former Florida Mutineers player Chance “Maux” Moncivaez went into some matches to test for himself.
In the linked clip, he shows after jumping your player now gets stuck for a moment, and doesn’t allow you to continue moving straight away. While there is definitely a change, this may be an error from Treyarch as it wasn’t mentioned by them in the patch notes.

This movement change means that we will see players utilizing the slide much more often, and refraining from bunny hopping. With League Play just around the corner, you’ll want to have your movement as good as possible ready to hit the highest ranks in the game.
