03 Feb Everything You Need To Know About Black Ops Cold War’s Feb 4 Update
Black Ops Cold War’s best major update comes tomorrow, so here’s everything you need to know.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has featured a large amount of post-launch content already, possibly the most webhave ever seen. This continues tomorrow, with the Feb 4th update (Version 1.11) bringing back an old school map, new playlists, modes and a new Zombies experience. Here’s everything you need to know.
Express
Express returns to the Call of Duty franchise for the first time since Black Ops 2 in tomorrow’s update.
Being one of the communities favourite maps, Express is roughly U-Shaped and allows for both long range engagements and close quarters combat. However, with a train running through the middle, make sure to look both ways before you cross.
New Playlists
With the new map comes a new playlist, Express 24/7 will be available for the next week. This will include Team Deathmatch, Kill Confirmed, Domination and Hardpoint.
Fireteam will also feature a new mode titled Endurance. This will be slightly different to the usual, with the Bombs being replaced as soon as they are exploded, meaning there will always be 5 active bombs. This will increase the speed of the game, resulting in the score being increased to 1000 to win.
Double XP
Treyarch will also be bringing Double XP to Black Ops Cold WAr and Warzone players starting Feb 5 at 10AM PT through to Feb 8. However, if you’re on Playstation you can access this one day earlier, on Feb 4.
Zombies
Zombies fans will be able to jump into a new Zombies experience on Feb 4th with Firebase Z. Set in the Vietnam jungle, players will be able to explore a new location, but continue the storyline of Die Machine.
Along with Firebase Z, Treyarch will also be adding the Tombstone perk to Zombies. This perk allows you to “become a shadow in the Dark Aether armed with your weapons that can revive you”.
While there has been no mention on League Play, competitive fans can still have hope that it may arrive. If not, we know it will be coming by the end of February, so there’s not long to wait.
Black Ops Cold War’s Feb 4 update can be downloaded at 11PM PT tonight, that’s 2AM ET and 7AM GMT.
