27 Jan Evil Geniuses Announces Valorant Roster In Time for Challengers Open Qualifier
Evil Geniuses have broken down barriers by announcing their very own Valorant roster.
Nearly every organization has begun planting its roots in Riot’s latest and fairly successful esport. Most organizations have put together all-star teams, and some like Dignitas and Cloud9 have put together multiple rosters. Esports is primarily dominated by men and while Valorant has multiple all-female teams that compete, EG is aiming to break the status quo. The head of this new roster is Christine “Potter” Chi, a former CS: GO player and caster, followed up by Claudia “Clawdia” Che, Aleksandar “Aleksandar” Hinojosa, Nolan “Temperature” Pepper, and Ronan “Osias” Jeremiah Javelona.
The team has a lot to prove, as a mixed-gender roster has never been successfully done before across esports. “Evil Geniuses approached me with the opportunity to create something special and help define the emerging VALORANT scene,” said Potter, captain of the EG Valorant team. “We’ve put together an amazing squad of veterans and young guns, and I think we’re going to surprise a lot of people.” This roster will be competing at the Valorant Challengers Open Qualifier this week and will be fighting to establish themselves as a top team early on. Over 100 teams are competing at the Valorant Challengers Open, and we have seen before that in an open bracket, anything can happen. To even begin thinking about making it to the Quarter Finals, they will have to possibly make it through Serenity and Sentinels.
