22 Jan Huya announces Chinese broadcast deal with Relog Media’s HomeSweetHome
Chinese live-streaming platform Huya has announced an exclusive partnership with Serbian based production firm Relog Media for its upcoming HomeSweetHome CS:GO series.
As a result of the partnership, Huya has acquired exclusive regional streaming, broadcasting, VOD and distribution rights in China for its event.

HomeSweetHome CSGO will run a series of cups over the course of the calendar year, with Huya’s exclusivity extending to a minimum of nearly 3,000 hours of broadcast content, according to the press release.
“We are incredibly excited to welcome the Home Sweet Home brand to our platform,” commented a Huya spokesperson “Our FPS fans will now have high-quality CS:GO content throughout the year. Our platform will have the most engaging ways to view and experience every plant, clutch and ace.”
The partnership between the two parties was brokered by data platform GRID Esports. The firm is said to have played a significant role in ‘delivering multiple headline sponsors and broadcasters’ for Relog’s HSH events.
Huya is no stranger to the esports industry, with the platform consistently broadcasting a variety of competitive gaming events. In the third quarter of last year, the platform broadcasted a total of 119 third-party esports events, ranging from the League of Legends World Championship to Honor of Kings’ World Champions Cup.

Petar Marković, the COO of Relog Media, added: “Home Sweet Home was born out of a need for around the clock, high-octane CSGO action during a time in which everyone was asked to stay indoors. As we expand the brand to a fully global presence we could not ask for a better partner than Huya.”
Late last year, it was revealed that Relog had purchased the licensing of HSH from GRID Esports. As part of the deal, the production company looked to expand the tournament through the use of seasonal cups and has also announced its intention to launch a Dota version of the series.
Following the licencing deal, HSH has unveiled its first tournament, SnowSweetSnow Cup 1, and has signed a variety of teams to contacts for upcoming events. These include the likes of Virtus.pro, forZe, Gambit, Sprout, and more.
Esports Insider says: Relog Media’s partnership with Huya will undoubtedly strengthen the competition’s reputation in China. By having such a major partner to its portfolio, HSH has also increased its profile before the series has even officially begun. Moreover, the deal also signifies the streaming platform’s intent to supply a wide variety of esports to its continually growing userbase.
