22 Jan CoD: Team Banned From $250K Twitch Rivals Warzone Tournament After Cheating
Twitch Rivals’ $250K Warzone Tournament has had an unfortunate run, from being postponed to cheaters, here’s everything that went down.
Last night Twitch Rivals held one of the biggest Warzone tournaments to date, with $250K on the line. It was postponed last month due to the Helicopters in Warzone allowing players to go invisible. It was finally rescheduled. However, the biggest tournament with an Open Qualifier showed it flaws, resulting in one team being caught cheating, and thus removed from the tournament.
METZY_B, kryptic_j0ker & Unify were disqualified from the competition due to cheating allegations. These came after multiple players voiced their suspicions during the first four rounds of the tournament. Twitch Rivals said, “Based on the evidence submitted from various sources in and out of the tournament, [Twitch has] determined that [their] gameplay was unnatural beyond a reasonable doubt.”
After already having to reschedule the tournament once, Twitch decided to continue with the event. But they removed Metzy and his team.

As some of you may know, Thomas “Tommey” Trewren seems to be the acting Detective in Warzone nowadays. He continued this, looking at Metzy’s footage and quickly saw how he locked on to another player in an unnatural way.
With $45K for the winning team and $250K overall, the Twitch Rivals Doritos Bowl was one of the biggest tournaments yet. UnRational, Finessen and Nickool took home the victory, but this was unfortunately overshadowed by some foul play.
