CoD: Asim Joins New York Subliners’ Starting Roster

After scrimming with them since launch, Asim has officially joined the Subliners.

After announcing the signing of Conor “Diamondcon” Johst to the starting lineup yesterday, the New York Subliners have completed their roster with the signing of Obaid “Asim” Asim. Asim will join the team as an SMG player looking to fill the spot of Tommy “ZooMaa” Paparatto.

The 20-year-old began his competitive Call of Duty career back in the 2018 Black Ops 4 season. Here, he joined FaZe Clan Black, winning the Fort Worth Open alongside now-CDL stars, Simp and Cellium.

In the 2020 Call of Duty League season, Asim played for the Minnesota Rokkr. While they had an extremely strong start, they struggled towards the end of the season. But Asim was always seen as a standout player. During the start of the season, Minnesota was seen as one of the best teams to not win an event, but with the clutch factor of Clayster, Asim has a great chance of winning this year. Coming in to replace ZooMaa won’t be easy, but the Subliners have the belief that Asim can do it.
